Just a few minutes ago my brother, Stephen, created his own blog. Check it out, yo!
There is a barn in our town that do plays in the summer. My friend was going to audition for a couple of the plays, and invited me to come along. Megan, my friend, had to do a dance as part of the audition, and asked me to accompany her in our tap number they taught us in dance class. Erin (the lady who was doing the auditions) said that Megan and her sister Molly, who was also auditioning, could be in a play! I want to be the person who leads the audience people to their seat. They get to watch the rest of the play for free, and get a free candy bar or drink at the concession stand.

Today we had another art lesson. Annie (our teacher) made us draw objects without either looking at the paper or lifting the pencil off the paper. It was fun, but challenging. After that, we went to Concord to go to Target. I got some clothes, and a book. Then we went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. They have a new menu, which includes fat, calories, carbs, and fiber info for the food. It was scary looking at the calories of a hamburger.

Today when it was recess, we played with the new basketball hoop that my dad set up. It was fun, even though we aren't very good. Then we got our hair-cuts. Stephen got a buzz cut, Sam got a trim, and I got a bang trim (which I needed desperately) and a shampoo. I always love to get my hair washed there. Their shampoo smells great. Then we went to the playground to meet with the homeschoolers. After that, we went to Pizza Chef for dinner, and went to my brothers' pack meeting (for Cub Scouts). Then we finally came home.

Today Sam had to go to the orthodontist to get his roof expander. Mom has to crank it every night, and it widens his upper jaw. And later he will get a lip bumper, which I guess it's supposed to push his lower jaw back a bit. But it also looks weird when you smile, 'cause your lip pokes out. And he will get a head gear, which will attach to the expander, and pull his teeth forward. I still remember when I had all that metal in my mouth. I also had brackets on my front top teeth to close the 5 millimeter space, thanks to the expander. But now I just have to wear an elastic around my braces to pull my front teeth forward - tons better than the headgear.

Today we went to Manchester to talk to a lawyer about my parents' business .My mom was hoping it would only take 45 minutes, but it took over an hour. At the beginning it was cool, because the waiting room had comfy chairs and a sofa - not hard, wooden chairs with a wimpy seat cushion. But at the end it was boring because we were getting anxious to get out. Then FINALLY my parents walked out and we got ice-cream because we behaved so well. Hey! I should behave more often!

Today I had to go to the dentist to get a filling. One of my 12 yr old molars was deformed so it had a little hole. She had to drill a little bit, so she asked if I wanted to be numbed or if I just wanted to be drilled without anything. I wanted to be numbed. The shot didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. It just felt uncomfortable. And when the shot was going in, she would say "OoOo this is going to reeeally hurt!" and it wouldn't hurt anymore than it did at the present. After the appointment, we went to the post office and we got the Build-a-Bear stuff that I had ordered. I got the Spring Chick who I named Chiky to remind me that it's a chick - not a duck. I also got p.j.'s for the chick.

Today we had our first art lesson with the former children's librarian. It was so much fun. It was a big building that was divided up in small offices. She had a small studio, but it was cute and had a lot of cool art stuff. She started us out on learning about dots, and how they can connect to make both recognizable and unrecognizable shapes. She said it might be boring, but it was really fun. This morning we saw a deer out of my brothers' window. It's the second time that I've seen one in our yard. I hope we see more deer at our house!
Wednesday 4/21
Today we did school until 3:00 and went to the playground to have a homeschooling get-together. The playground had a big area of grass, and we played several varieties of tag. It's fun to get together with other homeschoolers.
Tuesday 4/20
I stayed up at my friend's house (or motel) until 2:00 a.m. probably. I finally fell asleep, then I woke up a little after 7:00. We ate breakfast and played with the two toddlers that were also part of the many kids. Then we went out for ice-cream and went to play at the town green for a while. After my mom picked me up, I did my math lesson, then we saw Ella Enchanted. It was really good, but wasn't very much like the book.

Monday 4/19
Today I didn't have dance classes because the public school had the week off. We were going to go to the cinema to see Ella Enchanted, (I highly recommend the book for girls) but my friend invited me over for the night. There was a huge crowd - 3 adults and 14 kids. It was fun. Luckily, the family owned a motel that was right next to their house. Me, my friend, her little sister, and her friend got to stay in one of the rooms. We also rented a few DVDs and brought in their laptop computer.

Sunday, April 18, 2004

Today we went to church. We didn't have Sunday school because the teacher was on vacation. It was so warm out today. After having freezing temperatures, 60's were pretty warm. Then we came home, ate Spam Burgers - my dad's invention then watched Dumb and Dumber.
Saturday 4/17
Today we went to the annual Camp Carpenter open house. Camp Carpenter is the Cub Scout summer camp. It was really cool. There was a lake, and BB guns, archery, and tons of other fun activities. There was a loop that you could walk around and see all the activities. Afterwards, we went to the mall. We did a little shopping and got dinner at the food court.

Friday, April 16, 2004

I just now finished my school work. My brothers went for a hike and was gone all day. Me and my mom stayed home, and I did school. I also played with some of my mom's make-up. I like to put cover-up all over my face, then put blush on top of it to create this weird burnt stained look.

Thursday, April 15, 2004

Today we are supposed to get our cable disconnected. Other than that, nothing really happened. My parents have to pick up the truck from the car place, so I am baby-sitting my brothers right now.

Wednesday, April 14, 2004

This morning we went to church. Then we went to Wal-mart to look for a few things for my dad. I ended up getting a few hair things and a pair of earrings. My mom left at 7:00 pm to go to a meeting, and won't be back until 9:00 pm. So until she comes home, I will play Lego.

Tuesday, April 13, 2004

Today we decided to cut the cable. It will probably happen on Thursday. But we will probably look into an internet DVD rental service. That could probably be better because no commercials! And you can pause it!

Monday, April 12, 2004

I got home from dance a couple of hours ago. We had spaghetti, sauce, and Italian sausage for dinner. We were watching Looney Tunes Back in Action, when Mom told us to pause it to eat dinner. And right now, I am watching my dad making weird faces and sounds while flossing his teeth.
Sunday, April 11
Today was Pascha (Easter)!! There was a short service, then a feast afterwards. The part that stank was that I had a horrid stomach ache, and missed out on a lot of the good food. I took some Advil and ended up sleeping for an hour and a half on the sofa in the rectory. I woke up to find that my shoes were gone, and I was covered in water. Turns out that a boy had done that, and I was soooooooo mad. So I ended up having to walk out side bare-foot, all confused, to my mom. My brother told me were my shoes were hidden, and then we went home.

Saturday, April 10, 2004

Today we had the longest church service of the year! It started at 10:00 a.m., to 1:30 p.m. But last night when we were driving home from church, somebody had rammed into a moose! The car was very small, and the whole front part of it was crunched! The moose had been injured pretty badly, so the cop that came had to shoot it. But anyhoo, back to church, we have a mid-night Easter service, so we have to rest and...zzzzzzzzz.

Friday, April 09, 2004

Today we don't have a church service until 2:00 - whew! It was nice to have time to brush my teeth properly instead of running around and trying to get out the door! But every Good Friday at the 2:00 service, we bring out the embroidered shroud of Jesus after he was taken down from the cross. It was embroidered by the priest's wife.
Thursday 4/8
Today we went to an evening church service that had a beautiful hymn in it. It had a Byzantine sound to it and was about Jesus dying on the cross. There was also 12 Gospel readings that you had to kneel through, but my mom had to stand because of her skiing injury in her knee.

Wednesday 4/7
Today was my first day with braces. My teeth are aching! I also have to wear an elastic around my upper four front teeth to my lower four front teeth. Also, we had a liturgy this morning, and had a matins tonight.

Tuesday, April 06, 2004

Today I got my mouthful of braces. I was expecting it to hurt, but it didn't. It was just a little pinchy, and it only really hurt afterwards. I chose glow-in-the-dark blue for the plastic loops that they put on the brackets. Then me and my mom went to church and just came back home.

Monday, April 05, 2004

Today we had church in the morning. There was a service tonight, but I had dance class, so my dad just went. Today, my mom got another Frisbee for my dog, Ouzo. It costed 15$! My dad has noticed that a lot of people have been trying to pull the Frisbee out of Ouzo's mouth, which tears it up. So my mom wrote DO NOT PULL all over the Frisbee.

Sunday, April 04, 2004

Today at church was Palm Sunday. We got to hold palms and pussy willows. I always love the pussy willows because they are so soft. They are also good to tickle people. When we got home, I looked out the window and saw a deer! She (dad said it was a girl) was so pretty! She came so close to our swing-set. It was pretty hungry looking because her sides were sunken in and was eating bark off of the trees. We threw some apples out of the door hoping that more would come.

Saturday, April 03, 2004

Today feels like a Sunday because we went to church. It's Lazarus Saturday. My friend Maria came to church too. She has a baby sister named Faith. So after church, we went outside to go on the swing. I got on the swing, put Faith in my lap, and Maria pushed. Every time Maria pushed, Faith giggled hysterically. I almost thought she was crying! It was so much fun.

We are doing a contest on Mysoup.com to win the grand prize of a week at a mansion in California. All you have to do is type in a code that you get on a can of Cambell's soup in a little thing that pops up on the computer and click and it tells you if you win the Daily Instant Win prize or not. My brother won it 2 days in a row, and won a t-shirt, and a key chain. Soon he will get all the nice prizes, like the boom-box or the camera! I have won nothing yet, but I've been doing it for a long time now, and the more you enter, the better chance you'll have of winning.
Today we (my brothers and I) got school pictures (well, not really school pictures because we homeschool) taken. The lady who took them used to be the children's librarian, but has now started teaching art lessons. She has taken a lot of pictures, and has a nice digital camera, so we decided to hire her. We had them done in The New Hampshire room in the library. They call the room that because all of the books in there have to do with NH, and there are quite a lot of them. But I got a taste of what it's like to be a clothing model. She took tons of pictures, both solo ones and group ones. I had to smile for all of them, and my mouth was achin'! There goes my dream of being a model!
