We bought a new lawn mower yesterday. So of course, we had to play with it today and mow the whole lawn. We got an electric lawn mower, and it's really quiet. We had to use two LOOOOOOONG extension cords that kept on getting dog poop all over them, but it worked! It's a 2 man job, because one person has to mow and the other person has to move the cord.

Like, OMG! Just kidding. Today when we went over to my Grama's house, my dad came too to fix something at her house. Our dog, Bubba, came along too. Now Bubba is extremely attached to my dad. It's almost sick. Anyway, my dad pulled the hatch on the ceiling to go up to the doomed attic. So my dad went up, and all of a sudden we hear this whining, and whimpers from Bubba. We look, and he's trying to climb up the ladder to get to my dad. Then he (Bubba) started making Wookie noises! It's so funny. So we had to drag this dog away from the stairs and it took my mom, brothers and I to keep him from running up the stairs. But he has a HUGE vocal range, and he can trill his voice/whimpers. He is a born singer.

Well, I have a cold. Caff, coff, sniffffle snort. That's exactly how I feel. And my ears are all clogged up so I can barely hear, and my throat is screaming, my nose, well I've already described that. I can hardly sleep when I am sick - which is the time you need rest most! So that got me a little T.O.'d, I got five hours tops of sleep last night. It was torture! I was writhing in agony on my bed and screaming because I couldn't breathe! Of course, I couldn't hear how loud I was screaming because my ears are so clogged! Then I tried clicking my heels three times and saying "There's no place like home, there's no place like home!" But that never works.

Ugh - I had to get up at 7:00 this morning. We had to drop my dad of at a trail head that was almost an hour away. Then we had to drive all the way to a kid's house to drop my brothers off at his birthday party. The place where these people lived was pretty much isolated from anywhere. The nearest grocery store was about 25 minutes away! They lived in a beautiful country place, but way too far from anywhere.

I got some warts burned off today. Well, I got them "frozen" off with that there liquid nitrogen stuff. My mom got some warts burned off in the past, and she said it stung. So I was really nervous - so nervous that I was almost in hysterics. I know that sounds a bit immature, but I was really nervous. So I was sitting on that scary cushioned thing that the doctor makes you sit on with my eyes slammed shut and my hand held out. The dermatologist was spraying away on all of my 7 warts and I realized that I was being stupid because it didn't hurt. It just stung a bit. That's all, have a good night folks.

I went to karate with my mom and brothers because I felt like it. They (the students and teachers) sometimes play a game called "Samurai". It's exactly like dodge ball, with different variations. For example, the black belts can only throw with their left hand (or if they are originally left-handed, they have to throw with their right). It's fun to watch. But this time they invited the parents to play. My mom and some other adults said I should play, but I turned them down because it would ruin my image. Just kidding, but I just wanted to watch. It was really funny with the little kids all screaming and throwing the balls at their parents.

I got an iPod today! I got it as an early birthday present - a month from today is my 13th birthday. I had to pay for part of it. I got a blue one, it's cute and perty! I have 246 songs on it so far. I plan on adding many more.

I have been SO busy this week. A few friends from dance asked me to be in the high school's Variety Show. So that's taken up tons of my time with rehearsals and stressing and the shows. The shows were on Friday and Saturday. We did an awesome dance to a song called "One Thing". There was tons of other stuff - singing, instrument-playing, dances, and hilarious skits.

One of my favorite acts was the "Toast Song". It was three guys with two girls in cardboard boxes as the toaster streudel back-up dancers. One of the guys was sitting on the ground banging on an upside-down toaster with drum sticks, and the other two were sitting on chairs. The "drummer" would bang on the toaster a bit and stop, then one of the other guys started rapping about toast. Then the drummer would scream "YEA TOAST!!!!" really loud and energetically, and the toaster streudels would spin around. Then the other guy started rapping in French, and the toast screamer screamed "FRENCH TOAST!!!" That was by far the best song. I know it sounds stupid, but if you saw it, you would pee in your pants.

The skits they did were sooo funny. They did a humorous version of Cinderella, a skit called Billy-Bob, and, my favorite skit, Boy Band. One of the teachers appeared in Boy Band as the rapper, Nelly. That was pretty funny. Overall, it was an interesting experience going to the scary high school. I am never, ever, ever, ever EVER going to go there. Except maybe for another Variety Show.

Whew! I am sooo tired! I had to practice a dance for an hour at the studio. I am going to be in the high school's variety show, so I had to practice that dance with the other girls for an hour. Right after that we had ballet. I came home pooped and gobbled down dinner. I was craving veggies, so that was a good thing! I ate the rest of the broccoli and cauliflower. It was yummy.

Over the past few days, I have done - drumroll please (pumbadapumpbadabump) - nothing. I mean, I probably did SOMETHING, but I don't remember.

Happy Mommy's Day! This is the first year that I have bought my mom a card. The card is really cool, it's sparkly! And my Grama is coming over for our Mother's Day meal. My mom made lasagna! She slapped it all together last night, and put it in the fridge, and it's in the oven as I type.

I came up with something funny today. I am the latest Apple product. I am the iVey! I don't know what I do yet, but I am thinking a cross between an iPod and an iBook. I am the most useful Apple product yet!

Argh, I have been pretty busy lately. You know, I have been sleeping, watching soaps while eating bon-bons, watching the Star Wars movies in preperation for the new one coming out (I don't think I'm allowed to see it though). I have been extremly busy with my leisure life! Just kidding - but I have been pretty busy. And we have been staying up pretty late, then catching up on sleep again.

It's been a crazy past few days, with church and getting ready for Pascha (Orthodox Easter). On Saturday morning, we had a church service that was about three hours long. Then finally, the midnight Pascha service! I was kind of worried because it was rainy outside. Right before midnight we have a procession around the church, then we sing, and go inside and the whole church is lit up. But the rain ended right before the procession, so we were lucky. It was kind of cold outside.

The church service lasted about three hours, then we had a "breaking of the fast" feast. Although, at three in the morning, you don't really want to eat a lot of greasy meats and rich cheeses. One dish that one guy brings every year is especially, um, FATTY! All it is, is bleu cheese swimming in butter. I don't eat it, but the dish was pretty empty by the time everybody left! Yuck.

We got our Pascha baskets filled with goodies, that was fun. Then we decided at 3:45 a.m. that we had enough partying for one night. We got home around 4:30, and the newspaper lady had already come! Another thing (will I ever shut up??) is the priest comes out of the Alter a few times during the service and says different languages for "Christ is Risen!" and the response "Indeed He is Risen!" There's French, Latin, Japanese, Slavonic, Greek, tons of stuff. And my mom read somewhere that the Minnesotan version is "Christ is up dere den!" And the response is "Ya, sure ya betcha He is up dere den!" I thought that was really funny - we're trying to convince our priest to use it in the service. There's tons more I'd like to add, but I'll let you get back to your life.
Happy Pascha! Christ is up dere den!
